Katie and Steve Schwartz celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary September 29, 2010 in Chico, California. 80 friends and family toasted them at the Chico Women's Club. The fete was hosted by their chidren Michael, Gwynne, Paul, Tom and Theresa and their families. The couple grew up in Altadena, California. They met at St. Elizabeth's Grammar School. Katie Graduated from St. Andrews High School in Pasadena and went on to Mount St. Mary's college in Los Angeles. Steve graduated fron St. Francis High School in La Canada Flintridge. They married while Steve attended Notre Dame University and coninued medical school at St. Louis University. Steve did his residency at Los Angeles County General and was the base dermatologist at Vandenberg AFB before setting up private practice in Chico. Katie raised their five children before getting her Marriage and Family Practice Degree from Chico State. Currently they love to travel to exotic locations, but none more exotic than the homes of their growing brood of grand children.
